USIG underwrites Property insurance for a variety of classes, focusing on properties under $5M in TIV, but will routinely underwrite risks with values up to $12M per location. Risks with higher values, up to $12M are handled on a brokerage basis per location. Hundreds of protection classes qualify for coverage including apartments, churches, hotels, strip centers, dwelling schedules, offices, manufacturers and processors, wholesalers, warehousing, and vacant properties.

Binding Authority

At USIG, we understand the importance and urgency in placing accounts. To meet these needs, we provide our wholesale and general agents with specialized knowledge of Garage, the underwriting authority to meet the needs of retailers on a nearly immediate basis for qualified risks and businesses. To meet underwriting guidelines, please ensure submissions include a Garage application along with other supplemental and supporting information, including currently valued loss runs to expedite the underwriter process.
